There are many factors that affect the specifications and sizing of the system. Some factors are: location, square footage, insulation, duct size as well as many more. Twin Oaks can provide an evaluation to determine which equipment and capacity is best suited. New equipment estimates are of no cost to you.
Estimates are done on a case-to-case bases. Each scenario is different depending on equipment needed, materials, placement, labor etc. This is the case for any new equipment whether it is residential HVAC, commercial equipment or a generator. New equipment estimates are at no cost with Twin Oaks.
SEER stands for seasonal energy efficiency rating and refers to the efficiency of the a/c or heat pump. All manufactured equipment on or after January 23, 2006 has a minimum efficiency standard set and mandated by the US department of energy. The higher the SEER the better the energy performance.
Regular maintenance can support the longevity of your system. With appropriate care a system could last 15 years sometimes more. Commercial equipment depends on location, maintenance and type of equipment. Generators also depends on maintenance and run time.
The minimum would be once a year but we recommend twice a year, spring & fall, so your equipment is ready in any case. We do offer service agreements for residential, commercial and Generac generators. And also offer commercial service agreements quarterly if interested.
A general rule to follow on filter changes is the sizing. One-inch filters should be changed monthly, two inch every two months etc. If you have pets we suggest checking and changing more often.
The green light means the generator will test and run if the power goes out. The yellow light means the generator needs maintenance. This light generally comes on once a year as a reminder for maintenance. The red light on the generator means there is a problem with the generator and the generator will not run or transfer if the power were to go out.
Generators can test once every other week or once every week depending on how it is set up. This is set factory but can be changed to when you would like it to test. It is good to set when you are generally home so that you can notice if something might be going.
