Generac also has lights on the side that can help with knowing what is going on with your generator. A green light means the generator is good. It will test and run if power were to go out. A red light means there is an issue with the generator and it will not run or test and it will need to be looked at to get back in operating condition. A yellow light means the generator needs maintenance and will still run with this light on. Generac suggests that maintenance be done at minimum of once a year so this is generally when this light comes on. If your generator runs more you will need to think about another maintenance.
